#9 Miami(6-1) @ Virginia Tech (4-3)

Game Time: 12:00 pm EST

Venue: Worsham Field – Blacksburg, VA

Network: ESPN

Line: VT – 2.0

The first attention-grabbing game of the weekend will take place as number 9 ranked Miami takes on Virginia Tech. This game is set for a noon kickoff and will be held at Worsham field in Blacksburg, Virginia. Miami is entering this game with a strong 6-1 record, with their only loss coming against the number 4th ranked Clemson Tigers. Virginia Tech’s record is mediocre, as they sit at 4-3. I do not believe that this record is an accurate representation of this Virginia Tech Team. Virginia Tech has been underestimated all season, despite having wins over NC State, Duke, Boston College, and Louisville. This is not to mention that two of their three losses came from ranked teams. Virginia Tech does have the potential to win this game, but I believe that number nine ranked Miami will pull off the win as they look to move up a little bit further in the rankings.

Score Prediction: 34 – 23 Miami

#10 Indiana (3-0) @ Michigan State (1-2)

Game Time: 12:00 pm EST

Venue: Spartan Stadium – East Lansing, MI

Network: ABC

Line: IU – 7.5

The 10th ranked Indiana Hoosiers who have been this season’s surprise thus far, will take on Michigan State this weekend in East Lansing. Despite each team only playing 3 games, it seems as though they have demonstrated the type of power that they can be this season.  Indiana is 10th ranked for a reason. That reason is that they have had three demanding wins over strong teams. They began their 2020 campaign by upsetting Penn State at home, and then they showed that that was not just a lucky game as they continued to blow out Rutgers and Michigan in the following two games. Michigan State has been somewhat disappointing this year, as their only win came against the 1-2 Michigan Wolverines. This game should be a good win for Indiana, but there’s always the potential for an upset when you’re playing against Michigan State.

Score Prediction: 35 – 21 Indiana

#2 Notre Dame (7-0) @ Boston College (5-3)

Game Time: 3:30 pm EST

Venue: Alumni Stadium – Chestnut Hill, MA

Network: ABC

Line: ND – 12.0

The third top 5 game of the weekend that could certainly be on an upset watch is number 2 ranked Notre Dame taking on the Boston College Eagles. You may be thinking, ” Why is a top-four team on the upset watch against an unranked team?”.  You have good reason to think that, but Boston College contradicts your thoughts with their play so far this season.  Boston College has been quite inconsistent this season, but they also have one of the top quarterbacks in the league in Phil Jurkovek, who has led them to a 5-3 record. Although Boston College’s wins aren’t very impressive, their only losses came against UNC, Virginia Tech, and Clemson, all teams that were ranked at the time they took on Boston College. With that being said, Boston College has the potential to make this game closer than it should be.  I do think that Notre Dame will feed off from their previous victory over Clemson, and they will win this one in an impressive manner.

Score Prediction: 41 – 24 Notre Dame

Arkansas (3-3) @ #6 Florida (4-1)

Game Time: 7:00 pm EST

Venue: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium – Gainesville, FL

Network: ESPN

Line: FLA – 17.5

One of the more juicy games of the weekend will take place as the Arkansas Razorback take on the Florida Gators. This game will be juicy, solely because the former Florida Gator, Feleipe Franks, is now the starting quarterback for Arkansas. Franks entered the transfer portal last season after a devastating season-ending injury, which led to the emergence of Kyle Trask. It’s unknown whether there is any beef between Feleipe Franks and the Gators now, but most people can assume that Feleipe would love to get this win against his former team. Despite the internal meaning of this game, Florida should be able to easily get the win. The Gators have won four of their 5 games, with their only loss coming to the fifth-ranked Texas A&M Aggies. The Gators have shown dominance on offense all season and their defense has started to pick up momentum in the most recent weeks. Arkansas is entering this game with a .500 record, although they do have wins over Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and most impressive, Tennessee. Despite Arkansas’ somewhat impressive wins, their losses have been in blowout fashion. I believe the Gators will be the toughest team that the Razorbacks will have to face this season and it will show that they are not very prepared. The Gators will win this game in a blowout.

Score Prediction: 44 – 17 Florida

#13 Wisconsin (1-0) @ Michigan (1-2)

Game Time: 7:30 pm EST

Venue: Michigan Stadium – Ann Arbor, MI

Network: ABC

Line: WISC – 4.5

The final top 5 game of the weekend that I have chosen should be very entertaining as the Wisconsin Badgers take on the Michigan Wolverines. This game contains two of the top teams in the Big Ten who will look to outplay each other. The Wisconsin Badgers have only played one game this season due to coronavirus restrictions, but they won that game in dominant fashion over Illinois, boosting them up to rank #13. This game would normally appear to be more competitive, but Michigan has disappointed to the extreme this season. Michigan’s only win came in week one where they exceeded expectations by blowing out Minnesota. In the two past weeks following that game, they have lost to unranked Michigan State and Big Ten rival, Indiana. Rivalries are known to create the best of games and this game is certainly a rivalry. But, I see Wisconsin’s offensive power being way too much to handle for the Wolverines. Wisconsin will win this game by a large margin, further heating up Jim Harbaugh’s seat.

Score Prediction: 31 – 21 Wisconsin
